ADVOCATE SANATAN MUKHERJEE

God’s creation of living species, human being is one of them. Existence of human being is not counted by years but by deed. A Man (Demise Mukherjee) came from Village – Krishnanagar, (P.S. Khanakul), Dist – Hooghly, where he born in the month of September 1945, then he enters into the course of education from primary school located at a remote village of Hooghly, where it was a dream of minimum amenities of life. It’s a pleasure to me not as a junior but as a family member of demise Sanatan Mukherjee saw by my own eyes from where he took his primary education from most ordinary primary school.
Thereafter he got next course of education from Nara Singha Dutta College and successfully completed his education in Howrah with the subject mental and moral philosophy in comparison of present system of society a course of education, it is unthinkable. After receiving primary education and degree course of education, he earned post graduate education in M.A. in Philosophy and also obtained LL.B. Degree from University of Calcutta. He earned first recipient of Ranada Ranjan Chakraborty Scholarship in Humanities stream from Narasingha Dutta College in 1964.
After receiving his course of education, he joined Bar of District of Howrah in the year 1969 with Ld. Ranjit Sinha and thereafter became junior of Late Jyotsna Kumar Banerjee who was public prosecutor of Howrah, not only of Howrah but also, he was a remarkable trial Lawyer of in West Bengal from “Pahar to Sagar”. Amongst them there was serious political case in 1978 to 1985 at Howrah which he fought without any fear, he expressed intrepidity and succeed that not only at Howrah but also distinguished cases like “Malo Para Ma” and “Harishchandrapur”, false implication of people representative at Malda “Dr. Chandan Sen murder case at Krishnanagar” besides the above referred only few cases but every District Court Trial more than hundred of cases. He was attached with students’ movement at university college of law along with his political friend late renowned leader Priya Ranjan Das Munshi, administrator of legal profession, accomplish as he desired proved his ability as General Secretary, Criminal Court Bar Library which was founded by Late Barada Prasanna Pyne, also associated with West Bengal Lawyer’s Association became General Secretary in 1997, elected member of Bar Council of West Bengal and became illuminated by the post of Chairman, participated actively for the interest and welfare of Ld. Lawyer of west Bengal. During the tenure of Chairmanship, he invited Hon’ble President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in a function of Bar Council of West Bengal and Hon’ble President was pleased to attend the said meeting. He was a man of generous and be showed generosity not only to brother lawyer but also to the society and family and relative as a whole which is example of maintaining every relation with all section of society and family, he was icon of legal fraternity of society as a whole and also family life.
It is fortune to my life, I got proximity with such type of man that I have learned and earned by his shower of blessings. He lost his last breath on 14.09.2019. Pray to almighty God, let his eternal soul may rest in peace, further prayer such type of person be blesses by you, for further blessing to us as well as society.
